Have you ever wondered why good things come to you and just when you think you have it all it is all gone? I sometimes ask myself oh why...why me...why me! What am I doing wrong? Who is doing this to me? Where am I heading and when will this end? All the Ws keep pointing at me. The many times I have really set out to do anything good and worthy for myself, just for me, along the way something goes wrong! I wish I could get a premonition every time this is about to happen, a sign...please this is all am asking! Fingers crossed. It does not hurt to try and you got to take a risk to harvest money.
When I finished college I had these huge plans to become a very savvy business person. I loved merchandising. I remember I used to have a good childhood friend but older than me who
would travel to the USA and on her return she would bring a suitcase
full of high school and would give me to sell, I did sell lots of them
to my schoolmates and she would give me a commission. Infact I wore
many T-shirts during my college days and nothing else.
Fast forward after finishing college my siblings decided to go live abroad and in came the cellphone craze. They sent me cellphones for sell, boy did I sell phones. I carried my merchandise everywhere and one time I went to have a drink with friends in the evening and I forgot the bag carrying them under the table. When I went back the next day the bag was nowhere and when I asked the waiters they claimed not have seen the bag with my phones. I threatened management that I was gonna bring police, the owner was a foreigner so the poor man pleaded with me and infact told me he was operating his business illegally in the country as he did not have his papers in order yet so that would put him in trouble he however promised me he would do his own investigations and find out who took them and give me a call. He indeed did, he informed me that one of the waiters had taken the bag with my phones, this is when he later called me, I gave him directions to my work place and returned them to me, thank God. There was another attempt to steal them but that is a story for another day. One thing for sure I abandoned that project and onto the next.
One time I met a friend I went to high school with and she told me she had opened up a shop and that she still had space to hire. She encouraged me to sell office stationary items and I jumped to the idea. I did not have enough capital to hire an employee she therefore suggested I use the same employee who was working for her in order to save some money and I indeed bought the idea. We started off well but this girl became very clever, she would sell the items and go and buy and replace them. Everytime I would go to balance the books, I realised the stock was almost the same and I was not making any serious sales till I discovered the trick. I decided to sign out. I was not gonna invest anymore money without making profit.
I have since then embarked on other profit making ventures so help me God!
